Calligraphy practice words
Once the basic strokes and single letters are even, practise short, common words. They train the joins between letters, which is where most lettering looks uneven. Start with short words like joy and love, then longer ones like thank you.

How to use the words
Trace the word over the guide three times, then write it on your own. Check that the joins rise thin and that every downstroke has the same thickness.
