Cursive A a
Capital A: Start just below the top line. Curve back to the left and down around the baseline, then come up and close at the top line. Pull straight down to the baseline and swing up to join the next letter. Lowercase a: Start at the baseline and curve up to the midline. Circle back to the left (counter-clockwise) and around to close the oval. Push up to the midline, pull straight down to the baseline, and swing up.
- Trace the letter
- Trace the light letter
- Write it on your own
Stroke order
Tip: Close the oval at the top before you pull down. An open top makes the a look like a u.
Joining: Lowercase a ends with a swing up from the baseline, so the next letter starts at the baseline. To join into a, curve up and over to the top of the oval, then circle back to the left.
