Cursive D d
Capital D: Start at the top line and pull down to the baseline. Make a small loop at the bottom, then curve along the baseline, up the right side to the top line, and around to the left. Capital D does not join the next letter. Lowercase d: Start at the baseline and curve up to the midline. Circle back to the left (counter-clockwise) and around to close the oval. Push up to the top line, pull straight down to the baseline, and swing up.

Tip: After the oval, go all the way up to the top line. A short stick turns d into an a.
