Cursive Q q

Capital Q: Start between the top line and the midline on the left. Curve up to the top line, down the right side, and slant down to the baseline on the left. Make a tiny loop, slide along the baseline, and swing up to join. It looks a lot like a 2. Lowercase q: Start at the baseline and curve up to the midline. Circle back to the left and around to close the oval, then push up to the midline. Pull straight down below the baseline, loop to the right, and come back up to the baseline.

Tip: The bottom loop of q turns to the right, and the loop of g turns to the left. That is the quickest way to tell them apart.

Joining: Lowercase q ends at the baseline with a swing up after its bottom loop closes. Joining into q works like a: curve up and over the top of the oval, then circle back.
